SEO FIASCO

Learning about something very complicated often overwhelms me. And though I'd like to get more traffic in this site, I chose to close the SEO basics document that I found in Google. I don't even understand what enclosure links are for. I read about it and a blogger's blog described it as a tool to make podcasting easier. I wouldn't understand. I don't even own an iPod. Anyhow, speaking of SEO. Let's take a closer look at some of the most popular search engines to date.

Who doesn't know about Google? This website practically saves my career everyday. To me this search engine is the most efficient, and most popular. That's why I'm putting it on top of my list.

Yahoo on the other hand, was more widely used a few years back. Or at least that's what I think. They go head to head with Google and the competition is tough.

On the dawn of the dial-up internet. Filipinos came across Yehey.com. It's an internet portal created by Filipinos and it is incredibly noticeable because of the very "Pinoy" design and interface of the homepage.

Who wouldn't remember Altavista. During my days in gradeschool, Altavista was as popular as Yahoo. It's still online but it's not used as much anymore here in the Philippines. It's now owned by Yahoo.

In 2009, Microsoft brought us Bing.com. It's has a very minimalist design and it features a relaxing slideshow. Perfect for laid back evenings in a Cafe with wi-fi. The slide show will give you ideas if you'd like to have some small talk with random strangers.

Have you ever heard of a search engine that supports and advocacy? I have. Visit Blackle.com, a search engine that displays a very elegant black background and gray typeface. It's hot but it has a cool mission. To save energy by displaying a dark interface.



I just hope they display my blog in the first page of searches.
